Pros

Excellent benefits; my retirement benefits at this time are great. Clean nice work environment. Overall the people are great to work with. My friends still there hate it but cannot leave because the pay is so good.

Cons

Micro managed; even know how long you are in the bathroom; Promotions are done through the good ol' boy network; not based upon job knowledge. Many managers are lazy or incompetent. People are looking to make a name for themselves without regard to the long term ramifications on the company. Ideas are rushed though without looking at the unintended consequences. Bad management overall. The company '"talks a good game" but doesn't really follow that talk overall. I would say they are fairly neutral toward the customer unless they are conning them. Profits are through the roof due to rate increases.

Pros

Great benefits, tuition expense program second to none. Great upper management support.

Cons

Long hours on the phones, no break between calls. Hours are not great to start out, but over time you can get a great schedule. If you do not like sales, do not apply. Takes forever for promotion.

Pros

Great company who really cares about their members and employees. They live by their mission statement and are passionate about who USAA is. Great compensation and excellent benefits. Awesome 401k plan, the best I've seen!

Cons

Call center environment so you're at your desk taking phone calls the entire shift. But trade off is worth it.
