Pros

Great experience to break into the insurance field. Management will work with you to teach you the basics of P&C insurance as well as encourage you to grow within the company. Coworkers are friendly and help each other out. President and VP always open to talk with employees on any level.

Cons

Work can be stressful at times. Some training is learn as you go. Work environment Is somewhat dramatic is lower level positions.

USG provides all the tools you ever need in order for you to meet your goals. From computers, to training and all in between. Upper Management always seems to make time to tell you they appreciate you as an employee and they always recognize and reward your accomplishments

Cons

The only thing I have really disliked, was having half or more of renewals go to another underwriter, when my assistant was promoted to underwriter. all the renewals she ever worked on went to her. I had to work really hard to replace the renewal book that went to her in her new position.
