      Great place to work and has treated me well

      Pros

      USI has always treated me right since the day they hired me as a Personal Risk Producer three years ago and even still today as a Regional Practice Leader. I've worked at another large national brokerage previously and it does not even compare to the resources, support, and culture that USI provides to me.

      Cons

      With fast growth, comes growing pains.

      Colleagues, smart work without bureaucracy; ability to discuss ideas with others; not stuffy; volunteerism and awards; CEO

      PTO policy difficult to understand and how it's tracked (former company was unlimited); no real "remote" working as an option; benefits cost more than prior company; lack of "appeal" to younger workforce

      Long time between application and call back, lengthy on boarding good people

      Pros

      Coworkers are very nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. Lots of little perks, employee discounts, and coffee. Busy work day makes time work fast. Day doesn't start til 8:30. hour lunch.

      Cons

      Lengthy On boarding. Sometimes thrown into a project without much information. Days can be unpredictable in the beginning.
