Pros

Flexible Hours, Accommodating to change in family situations and time off

Cons

Pay, Pay, Pay, was told when I was hired and told that the contract will only allow a pay of 45k amount per year, but not a year later the company hires a new person unfamiliar with the project and pay them over 60k per year. I have also noticed that if you are from India and you have a college degree, you get paid what your degree says you should be making, but if you have the same degree and are from the US you do not get paid what your degree says you should be paid. Or of you have two degrees in CS or a Masters in CS, you will not be paid anywhere close to what your degree says you should be paid. I have seen two really good Analyst leave the group because of pay and the company did nothing to try and keep them, not even match their new offer letter, but instead they will hire someone with no experience in the ingredient and pay them more than those of us with the same degree and experience. I have noticed that this company tends to favor people from India than they do their US employees.

Pros

Received fundamental training in software testing and business analysis for which I'll always be grateful. Gained experience working and presenting in team atmosphere. Learned many softskills, such as empathy and how to make better use of active listening skills.

Cons

Rigid attitudes; program promised local employment opportunities that failed to come through for whatever reason. Company acts as if the client is the only entity that matters, after assuring SIUA associates that we mattered too. Company also acts as if SIUA associates had no employment skills before they trained us and that we should be grateful for the opportunities they did provide. Well, most of us are, but we also worked hard to earn them!
