Layoffs used to discriminate

Pros

Benefits and pay are fairly good. This used to be an excellent employer.

Cons

While they throw in some token individuals who don't fit the mold, they have slowly but surely removed many individuals who were at a certain age, salary, gender despite their mission, vision etc. I have watched lives be destroyed by e.g. them laying off terminally ill because they ran out of FMLA. Would never recommend.

Pros

Great pay for part-time Small workforce in stores (for me this happened to be a con, depends on your preference) Personable managers, I have never had as good of a relationship with managers as I have at USCC Sales goals very reasonable, if you are a warm body and do your job you'll meet quota, no problem.

Cons

First of all, if you are in college and looking for a part-time job. This job pays great when compared to typical part-time jobs. But I have run into problems with time off. You HAVE to take vacation hours. No one told me that when I was hired. You can't just decide you are going on vactaion, ask off, and just take the financial hit. You can only take so many hours which is too much to ask for part-time to be honest. You are part-time for a reason, you have other responsibilities you have to deal with on the daily and they do not tend to recognize that. My time is very valuable and I would appreciate if USCC would respect that and respect the fact that I am part-time for a reason. For full-time it makes sense to have those restrictions. As for the vacation time, you can forget about it, you don't build up any amount of reasonable time off for a couple years.
