Pros

The project was not too bad and most people were nice to work with. They were expanding to be a broader competitor in the market share which is a nice thing to be a part of.

Cons

The management was terrible. The upper management was simply an old boys club. They hired several incompetent employees who all seemed to know the same manager and could do no wrong.

Pros

The company has a well defined culture, which if embraced, leads to feelings of job satisfaction. Senior leaders take their responsibility to protect the culture quite seriously and are consistently articulating the uniqueness of the business model and its results.

Cons

Front line leadership is inconsistent, though usually well intentioned. Promotions are given to favorites, despite the lip service to inclusion.

Pros

Excellent benefits, wonderfully diverse group of co-workers, the ability to do what I feel is right for the customer, less micromanaging and more coaching/teaching/developing The experience in the call center seems childish at times, but its in an attempt to make a cubical inbound call center position seem fun and engaging. The bonus structure for customer service reps is fairly generous considering its performance based and has nothing to do with features you've sold or contracts you've renewed. With full tuition reimbursement and variety of career options within the company, you can go only as far as you want to go with the company.

Cons

The hiring process is tedious if not ridiculous. Emphasis is placed on "Does this person fit in the D.O" as opposed to "Is this the most qualified person to do the job" based upon a lengthy online personality test. While I understand fit in the organization is important, I believe the candidates should first be narrowed to who's most qualified and then take the best fits. I'd anticipate this to lead to fewer highers and smaller training classes though. The fun and enthusiasm that runs across the floor at times can be overwhelming if you haven't been "drinking your koolaid". Once you step into leadership and management positions, the expectations take on far less structure and one can feel at times they're just trying to get you out the door.
