Pros

Nice working environment and great atmosphere. Holiday parties and cultural fairs. Not in the middle of the Texas Medical Center so it is less chaotic.

Cons

Parking of course is pricy and there are graduate students everywhere.

Pros

Bragging Rights For Working For UT Ssytem, That's It.

Cons

Drama, Everything is Based on Favoritism. No Reviews, Pay Raises, Promotions. Just a paycheck until some one does not like you, It's like High School With Old Women Who Can't Accept Their Time is Over. You Only Get Hired If You Know Someone. Turn Over Rate is Insane. Majority of The Employees Are Ghetto And Rude. It's Like Worse Than Working At Ben Taub.

Pros

Benefits are a plus. State of Texas job. 8 to 5 job. Tuition reimbursement is offered.

Cons

Safety is a challenging topic to preach in an academic and research institution. Money always seems to be an issue for everything. 0-3% raises annually if that. No advancement in positions. Once a specialist always a specialist.
