      Academic rich environment which is a pro

      Cons

      Poor Salary. Poor work home balance, no union and the management are aggressive and autocratic I was a number not a person there was nothing holistic about HR department. Senior leaders in the ED are ARROGANT a barrier and nothing is done about them, poor communication and lack of compassion to their employees. Look at other hospitals first

      Pros

      This is a large healthcare organization with a lot of opportunities to move around and potentially advance your career. There are some amazingly talented people who work in the organization.

      Cons

      It's too large. It's like working for a slow, lumbering beast. UW shouldn't stand for the University of Wisconsin, but should, in fact, stand for U Wait. There are so many layers that must be navigated to get anything accomplished and many of the managers, directors, and upper tier leadership are only out to increase their own power. There is a complete lack of communication and no clear direction.
