Pros

Working at Uber gives you an unparalleled opportunity to solve problems at a massive scale. As a leader in one of the operational hubs, my work had a tangible, immediate impact on the platform's safety and efficiency. The company is relentlessly data-driven, which empowers you to make sharp, objective decisions. You are surrounded by incredibly smart, high-performing colleagues, which creates an environment where you are constantly learning. The experience is a career accelerator. You learn to manage complex, multi-faceted teams, optimize processes under pressure, and navigate a global organization. The Uber name carries weight for a reason - the skills you build here are highly valuable and transferable.

Cons

The culture is demanding, with a relentless pace that can easily lead to burnout. The operational side of the business often feels like a high-pressure machine where you are constantly measured against aggressive efficiency targets. While the work is impactful, especially in a sensitive area like Safety Support, the emotional toll can be significant and is not always fully accounted for by the organization. Navigating the large corporate structure can also be challenging. Frequent reorganizations and shifting priorities can create instability, making it difficult to execute long-term strategic projects. It can sometimes feel like you're fighting bureaucracy as much as you are solving external problems.

Pros

Benefits are good, work is good.

Cons

I had good time working at Uber and apart from the usual office drama, I never came across anything as a con though. Manager Bias is inevitable anywhere!!!
