Pros

Good commute and very friendly work environment

Cons

The company is in between being a small owner operated company and the next big step. They seem intimidated by the investment it will take go get the next level of growth.

Pros

It took me a long time to find a job out of college. I was blessed with a position in the Vendor Sales Department as a product analyst. I loved my job and my department. There was a lot of room for growth in our department and I was promoted within 6 months. My department manager was understanding when it came to family needs and worked with us to make it possible to leave when needed (as long as you weren't taking advantage of his flexibility). My assistant manager worked hard to give us all the tools we needed to do our job. And was always there if we needed assistance. I read a lot of negative reviews about not having enough opportunity for growth in the company but I believe that is department specific. My department manager understood that the way we had the department set up might not have been the most efficient or might need to change as we got larger. He openly took advice and suggestions on new positions that may be needed in the department and promoted accordingly. I would still be there today if it weren't for the fact that my financial needs changed and Belnick couldn't offer me a salary that worked for my family. But overall, my 3 yrs with Belnick gave me the experience on my resume to move on in the ecommerce/home furniture industry and I will forever be grateful.

Cons

It is a privately owned company so getting changes made at a higher level was hard because it had to be approved by the Father/Son duo. But it is their company, they're the ones who have put in the risk to build it, so you can't really complain. If you want to make business decision that would affect the entire company, start your own company. The benefits of the company are lacking compared to industry standards. But still having friends there, I know upper management has taken the exit interview information to heart and already made some changes.
