Pros

Decent pay, nice facilities, regular employee events.

Cons

Management likes to throw the line out that ''we care about our employees and their families'' but the company's actions demonstrate otherwise. I'm honestly not sure why they even hired us if they don't feel we can be trusted to contribute effectively. The incessant auditing should ensure that everyone is doing their job no matter the location, right? The obsession with being physically in the building in order to be considered productive has now become an endangerment, not only to employees but to public health as well. Unfortunately, actually being here doesn't mean anything as many employees spend hours watching videos, sleeping at their desks, and so on, but as long they are punching in and out for at least 47 hours a week it doesn't matter. Ridiculous. From the 1 or 2 communications the company has sent its employees regarding the pandemic (the last being nearly a week ago and contained a handwashing reminder and to keep your cubicle ''tidy''), the message seems to be if you're not sick, you should be in the office. Which tells me that the company either doesn't understand or care about things like how COVID-19 is transmitted, and that employees are not necessarily concerned for their own health, but the health of their families and others in the community due to the ability to silently transmit the disease and lack of healthcare resources for people with COVID-19 and any other medical conditions. This level of irresponsibility has reduced several employees to tears on a daily basis, but I guess as long as we're crying in the office, it's okay. Uline's response to this crisis, or lack thereof, reeks of selfishness. I guess they are figuring that if the rest of the world quarantines and makes sacrifices to slow the spread of this illness, Uline can keep chugging along and maximizing profits.

Thank you for your feedback. Like many other businesses, we had to adapt to the new reality of the pandemic. We are proud of the steps we have since taken to protect over 6,500 Uline employees across North America while balancing our responsibility to serve our customers. We have limited in-person work to employees whose presence is required to meet essential services and cannot be completely remotely. Over 80% of employees in non-warehouse positions are now working from home. To read more about Uline’s Response to COVID-19, visit uline.com/Corporate/About_Covid.

Wash Your Hands. But come to work.

Pros

They sometimes remind employees to Wash our hands. They pay well, using the money earned by staying open during a worldwide pandemic.

Cons

Leadership has not sent ANY helpful communications to the employees during this extremely unsettling time, except reminding us to wash our hands. Transparency is non existent. Common areas remain open, the business remains open, and employees are expected to come to the office despite worries about personal safety. Leadership seems to be turning a blind eye to government and CDC concerns and recommendations. Company is focused on sales and fulfilling orders - it seems the almighty dollar is much more important than the endless employee complaints and cries for action. Customer feedback is scoured for actionable suggestions, but the people processing the orders from cubicle packed buildings are ignored. I wish I could negatively rate Uline for values right now.
