Pros

I started off with a fresh mind and happy to go to work, but then I saw the true colors of "Ulta Beauty" and my nightmare ensued after the 1st year...

Cons

I was supposed to be a Prestige Consultant, but they kept me on the registers and I didn't learn anything new. They make MANY promises that aren't kept, no communication with managers, they play favorites, people don't do their jobs and then blame other people for failure, no positive reinforcement. Nothing. This company was the worst company I ever worked for! They say they can't pay employees what we're worth because the company is broke, but they can afford to house Khloe Kardashian and Gweneth Paltrow and other celebrities to make an appearance at last year's Corporate Conferences which only GM's get to go to....This is an example of a company with rich CEO's who keep getting richer and don't care about the floor levels at all! OH and the best part is there is "Blackout Dates" and you CAN NOT request off from October-January. This corporation tries to run your life, you work so hard and still can't get ahead! No training, no gratis program, I worked at Sephora before and it was 100 times better than this! It is definitely the "drug store" of the makeup industry!

Pros

Gratis, quick advancement through leadership positions.

Cons

No work life balance, no payroll, policies that upset customers. I have never been verbally abused at any other company the way i was abused at Ulta. Customers absolutely hate Ulta employees due to payroll and lack of training.

Pros

I did not accept the job but still wanted to leave a review. Pros- maybe if you're an esthetician that only likes doing very very very basic thing and you like to approach every client in the store

Cons

$9 an hour. Seriously? Grocery store clerks make more. I could get making that as a regular store employee but paying $12-20000 for education and to accept that amount of money is like a slap in the face.
