Pros

Most of the manufacturing and engineering ground level workforce is filled with hard working and caring individuals that want to have a positive impacts on programs. Working on Department of Defense programs provides a high level of satisfaction and purpose.

Cons

The executive leadership or C-suite team put in place by Advent (private equity) in late 2022 are extremely short term focused on the companies bottom line to support selling off the business sections in the next 1 to 3 years. Every decision made directly ties back to the plan to sell the business for better or worse. The executive team does not care what-so-ever about the people within the organization. Many of the top tier employees across all functions have resigned due to the executive leadership's approach and negative public critiques. Those that stay in the organization are staring burnout in the face daily. The culture is toxic and does not promote collaborative teamwork. Most employees are looking out for themselves in the hopes of staying out of the C-suite crosshairs. This ultimately makes the simplest task take incredibly too long which constantly makes deliverables late to the government customers. Professional development and advancement opportunities are minimal at best. Leadership does not believe in mentorship nor do they provide guidance on career paths. In closing, this organization was very appealing a few years ago as a growing business with developing teams and people focused executives at the core of the organization. Now this company is quickly unraveling while the executives prop it up to support the future sale. It is a risk to your mental health to work for these executives, so why waste your time with an organization full of poor leadership on the brink of being sold with such an unknown future?

Pros

One day Advent will sell it, but only once they lose all of their business in Braintree. There's fewer and fewer good people left. Chantilly and Wake Forest sites are better.

Cons

Since being bought by private equity recently installed exec management regime has been very focused on wringing every last drop from the stone. Short term focus not a good move for the people. Lack of investment to fix known issues and poor enforcement of procedures affects product quality and cost. Not addressing people issues with scores of HR complaints is causing morale issues and permitting a toxic culture. Supply chain can't deliver and customers have noticed. Will get sold soon, so why work here if there's a large chance it closes and moves elsewhere?
