Pros

Great product, stable, virtually recession-proof, lots of hands-on opportunity, cool test facility in Indianapolis, opportunity to travel. Great people overall. Investment in programs has been nice to build and be production-ready for the four main types of sonobuoys.

Cons

Processes are antiquated; they are getting better, but there is an extreme resistance to changing and upgrading the way we do things. We are very people-dependent and not process-driven. Excel sheets and email are the primary mechanisms to track and run processes, which are not efficient and lead to errors. Everyone is ready to be sold by the private equity company, Advent, that purchased us 3-4 years ago. They have just been "flipping the house", cutting benefits, pay, and lowering the PTO cap.
