Too many Chiefs not enough Indians

Pros

Free Thursday lunches. Gym. Bathroom showers. Bus from Brisbane office to Novato brings people to lunch offering. Great healthcare options. Nice coworkers.

Cons

Too many redundant applications. Seems like consolidation would make sense. Just keep hearing its all political. How is saving the company money too political? I’ve seen money wasted on contracts and services. Leaves a bad impression because it’s the directors and VPs who have accountability to make these decisions.

The CEO is passionate. They provide decent benefits (company shutdown and sick time)

Cons

Decision making is worst I have ever experienced. There are too many layers of management for size and upper level is clueless to the needs of those doing the work. Work life balance is horrible. Promotions are only given to favorites and this results in backstabbing and sabotage. Company has grown fast and is painfully inefficient. Company prides itself on the idea of not following what other pharma/ biotech do, but in every decision and initiative they do exactly what every other company does.

Cons

People from big pharma trying to operate a startup. Too many VP's and directors. Nepotism at its finest, a lot of back stabbing and bullying. Stay away! Crysvita will be gone soon....Vultures are circling!
