Pros

You can make a decent income.

Cons

Passive aggressive management techniques. All through training one is told there is support and they understand it takes a while to get on your feet. After training the tone changes to do it, do it as I to do it, if you don't do you'll be fired.

Pros

I was promised quick advancement. I was also promised time with my new family and a pay raise. Additionally, I was promised I would be trained and that I could make my own hours.

Cons

I worked 18 hour days. I got zero time with my family. None of my sales orders were ordered correctly, my truck was never loaded. I was reprimanded for taking a day off to spend with my sick son. Legally, I was not supposed to drive the delivery truck without training which I never received. Additionally, I was let go for wanting more family time. Coincidentally, this coincided with the time my 90 day probation period was up and they would have had to offer me health benefits.

Thank you for your feedback. While career advancement cannot happen overnight, it is very achievable at our growing company for individuals who consistently give their best effort and achieve results. We promote from within whenever possible. In fact, the vast majority of our leaders have been with the company for a number of years and have worked their way up to their current positions. Training our Team Partners is very important to us. We utilize a variety of learning methods: by computer, books, video conferencing, in-person, and on-the-job training to prepare our Team Partners to succeed in their current positions and for career advancement. Working at UniFirst allows our Route Sales Representatives to work a Monday through Friday schedule. Our routes are built with efficiency in mind. Each location is required to use road mapping software to position customers in the best possible sequence in order to service our customers and reduce drive time. In the event a route becomes too large to properly manage, a discussion with your manager should take place in order to balance the workload. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes paid vacation and sick time for work/life balance. However, like many companies, no paid sick days can be used until after the completion of the 90-day introductory period.
