Pros

Work is challenging and fulfilling Freedom to lead and execute projects No micromanagement Purpose-driven business agenda Culture of trust and "I have your back" Fun onsite and offsite activities to engage employees Excellent benefits, beyond the norm Flexible and agile working environment HR leadership is crazy innovative and forward-thinking Commitment to gender parity

Cons

Employees who are not self-motivated will struggle Email volumes are hard to manage There is a lot of system simplification left to do (which is also a pro if you're looking for an opportunity to make an impact)

Pros

Pay. Very close to home.

Cons

Benefits not the best, Union environment, management is out of place. Treat you with alot of disrespect. Training is not structured and old timers there are not willing to train you. They give you attitudes and everyone hates working there due to the forcing and understaffed place. This place has a very high turnover of employees! They lied about my pay, my schedules, paycheck was never correct ever since I got hired at the place.

Pros

None that I can think of. It was hell.

Cons

I calibrated very high for the entire time I was there but I suddenly without warning I calibrated ( performance evaluation) very low along with other colleagues who were exceptional. They then proceeded to sue a colleague who couldn't pay a credit union loan on time due to his beIng laid off and out of a job. They swiftly attached his new job check and attached his house. The small Amount he owed tripled because of the Atty fees for suing him. Previous to leaving I reported some serious issues around management behavior and nothing was done so I told the director who said that I was not the first person who reported those behaviors to them on all the people I mentioned and they will take a look but that " they have to trust their management" and that nothing they can do to reverse that decision or take a closer look. Many of my former colleagues are astonished by the lack of desire to retain talent. So many great people have been let go and the new kids play video games and gamble online while the experienced do all the work and management locks themselves into offices and do not know anything at all about what you're doing in role. When you email them updates they deny they ever saw them in evaluations and blame you for them not knowing anything about what their employees are working on as far as special projects. Also, I am a man but I know women who've told me their salaries are well below mine, yet they have many more years of experience in the job than I did so they do not pay women equally. . Also, they take you away from your work to force you to present on useless topics just so they can say they did something on their performance evaluations. During these mandatory presentations my manager took personal phone calls on cell phone. One colleague told me that when they refused a promotion that they interviewed for because the salary was too low she said her manager threatened that she would not let her be promoted for at least one year from that time to punish her for making them do extra work by interviewing but not taking the job. This is just a tiny amount of what goes on in Unilever NA
