Good benefits, less work pressure

Cons

Internal politics, senior management more focussed on colorful reports rather than substance.

Pros

They still have a pension and I couldn't ask for a better group of peers. There are still many opportunities for growth as the bank continues to grow.

Cons

They pay 20% under market and the culture is changing. Their conservative values are out the window with the new countrywide administration that is taking over.

Pros

Offer decent benefits for part-time employees. The company is growing so there might be some career advancement or that is at least what they try to make you believe.

Cons

Just as any bank is, Union Bank is extremely retail driven and there are unfair expectations on pushing its inferior banking products. Within the last couple of years senior management has pushed for excessive micromanaging of lower level employees which has a made it a less than desirable place for employees to work in the branch offices.
