Pros

Expectations were clearly delivered. Determining reality or "the way" was up to you and a staff that had expectations of entitlement.

Cons

Lack of training of employees, no defined corporate culture. A blend of California banking and a more iconic style of the same.

Pros

I love the culture at my office. The managers are laid back, yet very motivating and supportive. Banking is basically sales, but I don't feel like I'm under the gun- the pressure isn't intense. What I mean by that is that the goals are there, but I don't feel like I'll lose my job for not meeting them month after month. I don't feel like management and the bank in general are overly aggressive, but they do stress acquisition along with retention. Benefits are provided even for part timers. Vacation time is ample, and there is an option for vacation buying (which is refundable). More than enough sick hours are provided, which gives me peace of mind.

Cons

It's really hit or miss depending on the management and your coworkers, but I am very satisfied with my current team. As far as promotion and career development goes, you are set on a 6 month / 12 month review cycles. If you happen to have a blunder, and depending on how serious it is according to the detailed disciplinary chart, can really stifle and delay your promotion. That means if you pretty much forfeit any promotion if you incur a "moderate" infraction on your record.
