Pros

Great compensation but you work very hard for it. They do seem to be trying to create a better work environment. But it's a very long and tough road... It take a lot of time and effort to change 150 years of tradition. If upward mobility, money and financial compensation are all you need at work then this is a great place.

Cons

You will work crazy hours, nights/holidays/weekends. An average day is 14 hours and have been known to go much longer. You often work very hard with very little gratitude. I would not advise if you have a family, it can be very strenuous on relationships.

Pros

Descent pay if you have no education. Hard to get fired since it’s union. Work is easy and plenty of downtime.

Cons

No weekends off, no sick days, barely any vacation time given and takes years to get more. Schedule always changing, you will be on swing shift or midnight shift for 10 years with weekdays off. Benefits getting worse every contract. Find another company to work for.

Pros

Stable Company, 150+ years in the business. Room to promote if you want. Endless opportunities, several departments. High emphasis on individual development and growth. $5200 per year in Tuition Reimbursement.

Cons

Lots of changes going on. Huge focus on doing less with more. No department has been untouched by this. Company continues to net over 1 Billion in profit each quarter but is still releasing employees. Jobs are being eliminated but the work is not. The extra work lands on the shoulders of whoever is left standing. Pay increases are hit or miss. Bonuses and merit increase have been eroding away over the last year. Recent job title changes (demotions) signal poor bonus and pay structure for existing and especially new employees.
