Where do I start.
Work - Life balance is heavy on the WORK, light on the Life. Certain departments are still highly favored over others.
The lies - bringing in an outside company to help screw your employees needs to be made illegal. It's obviously immoral, but our CEO and executives in general can't spell the word morality without a chuckle.
Tech pay isn't competitive with the outside market and it's obvious. Pay in general isn't as good compared to other companies as it used to be. If you rate your pay on the hours you actually put in, I'm sure you'll find it's not good at all. Most anyone worth their salt is looking for other work regularly. This is even true in many other departments. Go sell your experience on the open market. Most of the tech projects over the last few years have serious bugs, but don't dare say anything -- even though it's hard to accomplish anything when you're working with what equates to chisel and stone.
