Pros

Good pay if still employed.

Cons

Working with constant threat of next round of layoffs. No one is safe.

Pros

Peers are intelligent and cream of the crop employees. Other pros include now being able to work from home one day/week.

Cons

Dishonest upper leadership. UP cares more about Wall Street than their own employees who have dedicated their whole careers to serve. They recently cut their training program for college grads and everyone now feels extremely replaceable due to layoffs. Employee engagement from middle management and below is at a low, yet upper managers keep saying it will get better (more layoffs coming next year).

Pros

Promises that were later broken - a real disappointment. When the class complained we only got a HR guy come to tell us how important it was for their stock price to remain high.

Cons

Told start at $19 an hour - then told $10 and would have to pay Union $150 a month even on extra board-even if not working - told had to sign papers- they may dead head (no pay) up to 200 hours a month.. so if I was extra that would be possibly more free work than paid work, and I would be paying a Union $150 a month for this garbage.
