Pay, you will make some of the easiest money doing nothing but sitting on a train for up over 18hrs at times.
Cons
If you have less than 5 years with the company dont expect to have a steady job, look elsewhere unless you can deal with inconsistency for years. The company has embarked on the pursuit of precision railroading which wont work in Texas. They laud making record profits when revenue is down 2% year over year it's only a matter of time before BNSF takes more of their customers.
