Pros

Once you complete your apprenticeship, you become a full fledge diesel mechanic, and your pay gets raised double while also having the ability to work overtime.

Cons

Work can be back-breaking and tedious. That position/job was meant for people who do not mind hard physical labor.

Pros

Compensation, Insurance is not too bad

Cons

Work/Life balance is nonexistent, management only cares about write ups so they can move higher into upper management, you will be away from home ALOT, furloughs are always impending, you WILL be furloughed a time or 3, no schedule or scheduled off days, impossible to set/make appointments, very stressful environment and heavily overmanaged
