Pros

Insurance, retirement, everything else is slowly being stripped away!!!

Cons

Everything about the job, dont care about safety, I think we had 5 or six deaths because of changing of rules making them laxed for share holder profits, making customers angry enough to stop ordering product and get it shipped by trucks. Killing they're own business.

Pros

Met some pretty nice people.

Cons

Company doesnt care about employees AT ALL. No bonuses. Benefits no longer outweigh the missing compensation. CMS/ TIME KEEPING REPRESENTATIVES ARE THE RUDEST IN THE COUNTRY. Always conflict between management and ground support in all railyard. Horrible miscommunication.

Pros

The pay and benefits are great but are constantly being taken away with every next contract.

Cons

No work life balance at all. You are told once you work for Union Pacific they own you. Shifts and days off constantly change with little or no notice. They try to fire you every chance they get after being hired. Constant waves of lay offs keep you on edge. Never know if your going to come into work and be walked off the property because you were furloughed.
