      Enjoyed the free range I had, to make anything I wanted.

      Cons

      P/T. The mission was moving to a building that didn't have a kitchen.

      Pros

      Working with others that share your faith creates an instant community and support system. Being able to walk up to someone that looks like they're having a bad day and asking to pray with them, or vice versa, really strengthens friendships. The benefits are solid and they just started a wellness benefit and provide workouts on-site. Meals are free during mealtime. Management is very accessible and willing to listen to their employees.

      Cons

      The meals are the same served to 2,000 other people that day, so don't expect amazing meals. They're simple, but usually delicious. It's a shelter on skid row, so there are a lot of challenges that go along with that, including violence outside, grumpy folks inside, and fun smells everywhere.

      Pros

      It is a place where people can transform their lives. They offer a drug and alcohol recovery program that actually works. A person can get medical, dental, and vision care free of charge. The greatest thing about URM is the people who truly care about individuals.

      Cons

      It is located in Downtown Los Angeles/ Skid Row. it is a very dangerous area, but once in the facility one is safe.
