Pros
The company will teach you a lot, you get trained rigorously in your discipline.
Cons
The corporate culture there is definitely not for everyone. Japanese management might not understand team politics, and backstabbing will be tolerated. It’s a very odd culture, and at that point in my career I did not navigate. In most of the bigger departments in the NY office, the norm would be watch your back from everyone else.
