      Global IT company - good fit for self-motivated employees

      Pros

      Global experience with great co-workers, most managers were good - able to translate value and alignment of work to overall business goals, exciting and diverse projects, experienced job rotation within department - great cross training/development in profession, Tech savvy, flexible work location (office and virtual w/manager approval)

      Cons

      Continuous change efforts could be exhausting, Presents with larger organization political challenges, staffing changes reduced opportunity for strategic improvements (more keep the lights on work, fewer project people)

      Flexible work time. Some employees can work from home full time.

      Cons

      No career advancement oppportunities, very poor pay, mid management is powerless dummies, only few execs have true power, no mentoring culture, management does not care about employees careers,, hard to find good interesting work, company revenue in decline for the last 10 years which trickles down to very poor pay, promotions are non existent, constant outsourcing, Legacy technology

      Pros

      Unisys is an awesome place to work. Its a great company with a great culture and great employees. Every employee i have known (and i have known a lot) has been an excellent human being first and then a good employee. Employees are cared about and their opinions given due consideration.

      Cons

      Unisys is a very conservative company in EVERY aspect. Calling it risk averse would be a massive understatement. Pricing, products, contracts, strategy, everything is infected with this "safe" approach. And this culture then permeates down to the ranks and then people just stop being imaginative because they know its not going to go anywhere.
