Pros

UA has provided great income, opportunity for advancement and great benefits. Many of our employees have over 20-30 years tenure. I would recommend UA to anyone seriously considering a long, secure, and rewarding career where they can retire comfortably.

Cons

I wished I would have started sooner so I would already be vested with their great pension plan.

Pros

Nice working environment. No office drama - Everyone just keeps their headphones on and gets down to business. supervisors are very friendly. Torchmark (United American) has great company benefits......even a pension which is non heard any more...not that it will still be available by the time I retire.

Cons

The Data Entry Operators are paid by the piece so there is absolutely no socializing. Many employees are introverted and unable to have a normal conversation. It is a very gray type environment, kind of like factory work with everyone just burried into their computers and not having time to get to know their co-workers. You can't switch jobs for 4 months so turn over is rather high. Quota is based on a very very high rate of speed. Only the fast people make their quotas. Over the last year, I have become very sad working here. It is a punch in, punch out job and you must watch every minute of work so that you can make quota....I mean every minute. If you take a bathroom break, you will have to make up those minutes in order to meet quota.

Pros

Job advancement opportunities, great pay, easy work, flexible schedule

Cons

office politics, "who you know society" vs. how well the job is done or if the expectations are even being met
