Pros

Working from home not taking many calls.

Cons

Not a care in the world about bereavement. One day only to grieve, they half train as well and expect you to know your training right after. Supervisor started training with you so no one to ask a questions.

Poor culture

Pros

Low amount of meetings daily.

Cons

Code base was like a college project. Engineers are encouraged to just finish tasks quickly which leads to even worse code. Training doesn't exists. On boarding was a word doc that was basically useless. Their was a mother with a 5 month old that was working at 2 am and 3 am to test code. Then would show up to meetings sounding exhausted and was pressured to just test more things. UBC doesn't care about mental health or burnout at all.
