Pros

Helping our Nation be the global leader in human space flight has been the best job in the world.

Cons

Changing to bid all the new projects has been hard for USA because Rockwell/Boeing and Lockheed the owners are not helpful. Luckily the capabilities of USA are so well respected that NASA, DOD and other companies are seeking our support for some great future opportunities.

Up until January 2011...OUTSTANDING benefits Super flexibility for hours, time away, etc. Good pay Good people Management communication to the troops about issues is outstanding

Pros

Freedom to do what I need. The fame of working with something that is easily recognized by the general public. When its time for a launch all the people you know come out to ask for passes. The emphasis on safety is a good thing although sometimes taken too far.

Cons

Technology is WAY old, making it hard to be able to jump to other companies that have newer technology. Also the redundancy makes it too expensive. Quality inspector department has way too much power and little knowledge. Always overwritting what the engineer writes and asks for. That is the most embarazing department in the whole company, from there managers all the way down. Most inspectors are good but are afraid for there job.
