Pros

nothing to share, I wish I did

Cons

Severe dysfunction between C-Suite and the general staff: Managers and Coordinators. Specifically the CEO, COO and CDO. All encourage a culture of fear and distrust. Don't know if the Board doesn;t care or is unaware that they are losing staff an average of 2-3 per MONTH. The reputation in the non-profit community is poor and they are losing money, so the staff is constantly blamed

Pros

The many talented employees who are trying to make a difference.

Cons

This organization is one of the most unorganized and unprofessional places that I have ever experienced. There are no clear organizational goals and there are positions in all 3 departments haven't been filled in years. Also the turnover is outrageous with some people even leaving after 3 weeks. They recently let go an entire department, and rehired their replacements, only to have more people quit shortly after that. The CEO turns employees against each other, and is solely responsible for creating friction between departments. Employees rarely receive acknowledgments or positive praises, let alone any bonuses or raises, yet she gave herself a 40K bonus last year. In addition to that, the COO was mysteriously let go under circumstances that was never explained to the staff. Lastly, outside consultants/board members with little experience are brought in to take over certain projects, instead of hiring a full time staff member. This happens because these "consultants" are friends with the CEO, and it has been made clear to staff that that is the reason. This place feels more like a dictatorship than a company and it is really unfortunate because most people come here thinking that they will make a positive impact in the world - only to find out that they're making a positive impact in the CEO's pocket.
