Pros

The people, a great mix of young and old and from all over the place. You feel good about the work you do. People are flexible and understand the importance of having life-work balance. Started as a temporary employee without benefits and PTO, but after 6 months received them.

Cons

Most people tend to be over-worked and under-paid, as with many non-profits. Not tons of opportunities to move up.

Pros

You'll make less money, but do a lot for the community!

Cons

Organization is really too old school. Silos between departments are a real problem. Poor job of retaining good employees.
