Pros

Work-life balance. Pay for nonprofit work is good. Benefits are good. Name recognition and community relationships.

Cons

Not a good place if you're young and want to be innovative or advance your career. Very much a traditional, corporate-like environment. Good if you're well into your career, are close to retirement, or are looking for stability. A lot of turnover.

Favoritism Runs Rampant

Pros

Good to have a job when the job market is so bad

Cons

Other than the favoritism that is practiced by everyone, including the CEO who hires friends and family and is married to a member of the Board of Directors (talk about conflict of interest), it's disappointing to see how self-serving white people use work that should be done for the community to try and prove how good they are because they do all this work for others by bragging and trying to one up one another while at the same time, continuously lying to and keeping those beneath them at the company from moving up.
