Extreme micromanagement of everything you do. If you come with a hospital background, prepare to ask for permission to do anything. Managers watch you like a hawk and pick you apart if your audits are under 95%. Yes, you have score over 95% to be seen as a good worker/nurse. If you score a 94%, senior leaders will be quick to threaten with corrective action. UHC/Optum use their employees to get ahead and reward only senior leadership because they take the credit for the amount of work us little people do for them. My advice: look elsewhere. If you value your mental health and feeling like a professional, this isn’t the place. Oh, and they love AI so that productivity ramps up. They don’t care about patients only numbers and money. An AI monitors your voice to make sure you don’t sound like a robot or upset the “customer”. Joke company.
