Pros
The work environment is laid-back, with a lot of autonamy and independent work. Employees are given the opportunity to work at their own pace, from home, or at random hours, as long as the work is completed on time and is of high quality.
Cons
The compensation for lower level staff (non-management) is not comparable to other consulting firms in the area. For graduates right out of undergrad, the pay is not bad, however, for those coming out of graduate school or looking to start a career in consulting - the experience/education is not reflected in the salary. In addition, the type of work given to lower level staff does not reflect their experiences or desires, but is rather what is needed at the company. While this is a hallmark of consulting in general, after enough time has gone by without interesting or relevant work, it is hard to see ones self continuing at The Lewin Group as a viable career.
