Pay is fair, plus weekend/shift differentials. PTO accrual is generous.
Cons
Schedule is not compatible with good work/life balance. Constantly understaffed and under trained. Posted job description doesn't accurately reflect the rigorous demands of the job.
Great first step into healthcare, learn to do basic computer functions and troubleshooting, and familiarize yourself with Epic. Get to speak with healthcare professionals. Fast paced environment, which allows for something new everyday
Cons
I’ve been working almost a year and the nurses call me the wrong name almost everyday, and they frequently ask me if I just started. Really not very inclusive or welcoming in that regard.
Great management and leadership. Specifically for the Meriter Hospital location as clinical staff. The pay was significantly better than the surrounding area, and the work environment was as great as could be for a hospital. Never had any major issues with other staff/colleagues.
Cons
Scheduling isn't the easiest and you don't get a ton of paid time off, but otherwise no major complaints.
