Pros

Regular raises, decent health/dental coverage, and very rare layoffs

Cons

Nursing units are the worst: lots of gossip, favoritism, and unprofessional nurse managers

Pros

Initially, the environment was excellent and there are so many great people there. Compensation was fair-good, benefits were acceptable. There exists a possibility for this organization to reach great heights and I sincerely hope they are able to continue cultivating a culture where the employees can feel proud to call themselves a part of UPH.

Cons

Ironically, medical insurance is somewhat costly. Departmental management and Directors are fairly cliquey and tend to run in a pack, rather than working with and trusting their staff. Executive Leadership is quite removed from Director level and below. The financial impact of Covid-19 and subsequent need for layoffs was entirely understandable. However, the manner in which they handled those layoffs was slimy and created terrible situations for so many loyal employees.
