Pros

Big company, so lots of layers and room for growth - either upward or cross-functional. Tons of great people and resources at your disposal. Safety first culture! Relocation options are abundent due to the number of locations & districts nationally

Cons

As with many big companies, the ability to be agile and fast moving is limited. Publicly traded, so exec leaders must be heavily focused on pleasing shareholders. Customer Service is a huge work in progress after a centralization strategy a few years ago.

Pros

Lots of company events and trying to bring people together. Good inclusivity for different ethnicities and LGBTQ+ people. Had some very supportive management in the beginning and as I moved roles it severely declined.

Cons

Promotion of people who don't seem qualified (very young/not a lot of experience) just because they're friends with the right people, or make themselves look good by undermining their staff instead of helping them. Most employees are overworked and underpaid. They expect you to work a fair amount of hours outside of a normal work day for salary employees with very little compensation. Not a lot of cross training done despite it being brought up numerous times. When you work hard to get processes changed but because management is also understaffed it goes months without any changes happening. Most of the time management has no idea what their underlings do on a day to day basis so when you try and get help it never comes.
