Pros

Univar pays well and they've changed their position on promoting from within versus going outside of the company to fill positions. Great benefits, company car, and equitable sales bonuses.

Cons

Upper management became too focused on metrics; 20 calls per week, 100% pipeline coverage, entering tons of data into SFDC. The worst part of Univar is raising their prices to extreme, but still expecting the sales account managers to grow their territories.

Good local people at branch. Decent benefits.

Cons

Too many to list. If you can, stay away from this horror show. As with most big companies, they only care about the all-mighty dollar and could care-less about you and your family. Upper management is blinded by their own perceived image in the mirror to actually understand what their branches need. Everything is run by email and an 1985 computer system. Awesome for time travel if you're into that. I can't stress enough to stay away from Univar.
