Thanks for the recognition. We feel like this a great time for our employees and new hires to be a part of this journey as a fairly new Fortune 500 company with a foundation from the 1920's.

Pros

Univar is a market leader in our industry: #1 in North America, #2 in Europe. It's great to be part of a WINNER! Due to scope of the business, there are plenty of opportunities for those looking for them... Leadership development, other functional areas of the business, etc. The executive leadership communicates regularly (weekly email/video updates, quarterly town hall address, etc) which keeps everyone engaged and connected to what's happening in and across the business. Its a very collaborative workplace; silos are torn down by leadership and front line teams that stay regularly connected. Daily team huddles, weekly multi functional collaboration meetings, etc. Pay & benefits are very competitive. Univar strives to be a place where the BEST people want to work, and they are willing to pay for it. Rewards/Recognition campaign fosters engagement and provides kick-backs for above & beyond behaviors.

Cons

ERP system is antiquated, but going through many upgrades and enhancements. Consolidation of systems/applications/tools appears to be underway, but in the meantime it requires users to access information across several different platforms depending on the function. Recruiting team and IT support are noticeably weak links, in terms of responsiveness and effectiveness. Definitely room for improvement.
