Pros

Decent work life balance, any work over 40 hours generally can be avoided unless you personally feel a need to do it. Coworkers are pretty friendly and willing to help you learn and get the job done. Management has no problem if you're comfortable where you're at career-wise, there's no pressure to always move up or get kicked out. The new products being made are pretty cool. 9/80 schedules are an option (no 4/10 though).

Cons

Required 40 hours a week that have to be recorded down to a 6 minute increment. Got no work to do? Better try to look busy; the pro is managers aren't micromanaging you, so you at least don't have to try too hard. Salary is significantly lower than the average for the greater Seattle area - it's not far off for the aero industry, but expect salaries to be literally half, if not less, of a local FAAN(M)G office. Tech stacks are woefully outdated or incredibly niche. Know what you're getting yourself into; you'll have to like aero more than tech to really be happy here. Also note that you'll spend a lot of time writing and reviewing formal documentation for regulatory purposes (like a month or more per year). Upper (non-local) engineering management isn't confidence inspiring.

Pros

Your own office, if senior enough. Great employees.

Cons

Lots of paperwork (for DO-178 compliance), lack of training (instead learn while doing), stingy on raises, lack of vision (kept changing). Benefits increased over 30% during my few years there (too expensive for what you get).
