Pros

I've been at UASC for 16 years. I feel our senior management is wonderful. There is a very 'open door' feeling where questions are always welcome. They have set long and short term goals for the company and work hard to keep reaching those goals. I enjoy the people I work with and feel very close to most of them. They work hard and have that sometimes hard to find quality work ethic.

Cons

I'm feeling pretty generous right now and can't think of the cons. I'll return as soon as I have something.

Pros

Good place to learn practical electronics (Hardware), application (software), systems as well as component testing. The company has lots of instruments (and in fine shape). Learn here and move to Hardware development (Microsoft's Xbox etc) campus in Redmond.

Cons

Too much loud voice, Real bad breadths, Look busy-do-nothing, Flop in integrating new employees with work, Very low academic qulification among staff (mostly technicians), Poor pay, Development projects being shelved because of recession. Very narrow customer base.

Pros

Knowledgeable and friendly coworkers. Some of the managers appreciate your contributions.

Cons

Upper management feels disconnected from the workers. Benefits eroding that enticed talent to stay. Hybrid schedule is dwindled down to 1 day in a 9/80 schedule. Health insurance was ok when they covered almost 60$ of it for healthy habits. HR seems to be not willing to help or aid when issues with benefits is pointed out, like insurance not paying for procedures. They will gladly tell you to call the affiliated company that negotiates the bills instead of having an internal person that can help you. Upper management can at times sound like they are not trusting the technical staffers to accomplish their jobs. Predominantly seems to be a cultural barrier due to its predominantly being dished out by a particular group of individuals. Literally heard multiple times a upper manager/chief/staff professional verbally belittle or beat down an fellow coworker. Carrier progression is very slow, the expectation is that you work at a higher level job description for 1 or more years before you get the pay and level promotion.
