Pros

It's a hugely famous music conglomerate so it's really cool to be identified with.

Cons

In a lot of ways, it hasn't changed much from way back in the MCA and Decca days. The company buys other labels to increase its size. In some instances these labels retain their charm and cool record label thing, but mostly it's a corporate and a silo based system. Employees are not of great value if they are not producing content, genius markets, tech wizards, or put in 25+ years with the organization. The company is so famous and so large that they can get whoever they want.
