Pros

Wonderful benefits, great staff events, lovely facility for staff use, and really fun to work at a theme park. All my managers cared about our well being very much, and my team was fun and helpful to newcomers. Worked great with my availability as a full time student and not particularly taxing work which was rewarding as well!

Cons

My role was non union and not the department I initially wanted to work in. We did not get a lunch break unless we worked an 8 hr shift, and most shifts were only 5-6 hours. They’re also late at night or early in the morning to afternoon which affected my meal schedule to only eating around once or twice a day.

Pros

The Wizarding World Helping guests Free admission Maybe a good first job? 35% discount (but doesn’t matter if you’re not making any money)

Cons

- Low pay - minimum wage (not even close to a living wage) and Universal can definitely afford to pay people more. - You need to arrive an hour early to work just to clock in on time and it’s unpaid - Parking is too far away from where you actually need to go, by the time you get to work you’re already sweating - Management isn’t very helpful - Super strict with clocking in the exact minute and a warning system that sounds like it’s made for toddlers - Newer people are expected to do above and beyond when most employees don’t - high turnover of employees - New employees need to work at multiple different stores when training so you never can get comfortable in any of the shops - Feels like high school
