Extremely toxic work environment that heavily impacted employee morale. Campus Admissions Manager consistently demonstrated poor communication, lack of organization, and difficulty handling stress in a professional manner. Concerns raised by admissions representatives were often dismissed rather than addressed constructively. Although the Campus Admissions Manager promoted an “open door policy,” employees were frequently discouraged from asking questions or seeking clarification. The Campus Admissions Manager also limited communication, both interdepartmental and cross-departmental, and did not support collaboration between teams, even though employees were encouraged to utilize other departments as resources. This created confusion, inconsistency, and tension within the workplace. There were multiple instances where coaching documentation appeared inaccurate or misrepresented conversations and performance discussions. When concerns were raised regarding these issues, the Campus Admissions Manager was not receptive to discussion or clarification, which created further frustration and distrust. These concerns were also escalated to higher leadership, including the Regional Admissions Director, but there did not appear to be meaningful acknowledgment or follow-up regarding the issues raised. This contributed to a broader feeling that employee concerns were not taken seriously at multiple levels of leadership. Many decisions appeared disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the admissions role, and employee feedback was never taken seriously. Overall, the environment felt unsupportive, overly controlling, and resistant to accountability. Unfortunately, these issues seemed widely recognized across campus, contributing to low morale and a negative workplace culture. I started out working for this company truly believing in its values, but after my personal experience, I would never recommend another person to work here.
