Toxic Company

Business Outlook

Pros

Good learning opportunity, good training, learn to wear many hats

Cons

Toxic, backstabbing management culture that creates roadblocks for success - the compensation packages get more challenging every year for salespeople and the "what have you done for me lately" mindset is always present. So sad that a company with such potential is so horrible.

Look somewhere else...

Pros

There is no good reason. It is better to look somewhere else where you will get compensated better and appreciated for your hard work.

Cons

Do not pay well. Management gets loud when things don't get done due to 1 team member. There is bad language/bad words out of managements mouth. There is no growth in this company.

Pros

Usually not a ton of traffic in Salem County. Sometimes teenagers come out of their trailers with hunting rifles 100 ft from the office, stumbling through the woods hunting squirrels.

Cons

Typical corporate shortfalls Severely under-paying workers, management being vague but friendly during the interview to find out a month down the line that the department flies into emergency panic mode during every holiday Neglecting to warn interviewees that team members don’t cover your work during an absence- in effect forcing you to work further ahead than what’s practical and developing resentment when supervisors ask you to pick up extra work as “part of the team” Not being paid for on-call work, nor being reimbursed for being chained to internet access from Friday night - Monday morning Having disciplinary forms slid across my desk for not answering my supervisor the first time she called at 11:47pm on a Friday night, 4 hours after I’d clocked out, returning her call ten minutes later with no answer, coming into work and being wrangled into a 4-supervisor meeting with HR to discuss how unacceptable it was that my boss had to take care of a problem she caused herself, instead of expecting her unpaid on-call editor to handle it remotely without disturbing her time off. Being directly mislead about performance scores equaling pay raises, being bullied into dropping the conversation at the end of each performance review despite consistent high scores.
