Stay Away From Unlock

Pros

Unlimited PTO. The friendships made interdepartmentally.

Cons

This company is the epitome of everything wrong with a marketing agency. Departments are siloed, and there is no transparency between leadership and the teams bringing in the company's money. There have been constant layoffs in 2024 and a "pause on raises." This company is burning through cash and is constantly hiring others in leadership to fix internal issues. The culture at this company is non-existent. A culture was attempted to be fostered at a half a million dollar retreat in Denver in the month of March. Why hold a company retreat when you have no money to pay people what they deserve? This company doesn't match the rate of living and they don't give merit adjustments. As long as you don't have a family and are not in need of livable wages, give them a shot. The icing on the cake is an HR department that protects those in leadership and doesn't value or look into complaints made by employees. Stay away.

Pros

- You will meet some amazingly talented and intelligent people. - The majority of us minions just want to make it to 5:30pm, so you'll probably find some solid people within the company to help you get through the day. - Unlimited(ish) PTO - The benefits are pretty great, though, so I'll second all the reviews that mentioned this.

Cons

There aren't enough words to even jumpstart the brainstorming process of finding the words to adequately define the cons (noun and verb) regarding Unlock Health. I worked for one of the legacy companies that Unlock acquired, and the only reason I've remained on board, not including the economy, is because of the employees.

Decisions are made top-down

Pros

Good vacation and healthcare benefits

Cons

Leadership is not interested in honest feedback. Decisions are made top-down, and they expect everyone to tow the line.
