Unum started out as a great place to work but I wasn't allowed to grow beyond the position I was in. There was always a reason why I couldn't move up. I eventually left the company and have been promoted several times in my new role

Hybrid working and some very good people within teams. Health insurance and pension provided.

Cons

The company spends a lot of time focusing on achieving workplace awards, good PR and photo's. Being unwilling to take a photo was rarely well received. Leaders do not always understand the systems and the work involved in developing and maintaining these systems. As a result deadlines can be unrealistic. There is more focus on hitting the deadline than the quality of what is being delivered. Personally I always had the feeling of being excessively monitored at Unum.
