Pros
-Amazing opportunities once you get your foot in the door. - Truly focused on helping to serve the customer - Culture is inclusive and welcoming -Dress code is relaxed - Chief Operating Officer, Mike Simmonds, is incredibly personable and interested in the well being of his employees - Great opportunities for training/development but you have to be willing to seek it out
Cons
- Short staffed/ Long work - Benefits areas are often understaffed and so they are forced to handle large blocks of business without the necessary support - Middle leadership can be a problem - there are some people who are good at playing the politics and therefore stay in roles that are to the detriment of those who roll up to them. -Change is slow going. Insurance firms are not known for rapid change and growth, do not expect a 'start up' mentality
